Memorias Simposio ACIS 2015 – ¿Hasta cuándo tendremos agua en Colombia?

Ya estan disponibles las memorias del evento llevado a cabo el 11 y 12 de septiembre de 2015 en la Universidad de Ginebra, organizado por ACIS, con el apoyo de Colciencias, la Universidad de Ginebra, SWISSAID y la Asociación Colombia Vive.

“El Simposio ACIS 2015 se propuso buscar respuestas a la pregunta: ¿hasta cuándo tenemos agua en Colombia? La gravedad de la situación nos lleva a sugerir una respuesta incómoda: el agua nos dura pocos años si no nos movemos ya. Con mucho amor por Colombia desde la diáspora, ACIS decidió dedicarle esfuerzos a la realización de este evento y poner así la sostenibilidad del agua sobre el tapete. Deseamos que esos esfuerzos inspiren por igual a académicos, a sociedad civil, al sector privado y al Gobierno, y que se traduzcan en una institucionalidad ambiental más sólida, eficaz e inclusiva en el país.”

Conference – Colombia’s Time for Peace

After half a century of armed conflict, a successful negotiation of a lasting Colombian peace agreement seems more likely than ever. In spite of occasional setbacks, conflict has deescalated as the parties have come together since the current peace talks began in 2012. Observing the country’s past, present, and future, the panellists will discuss whether it is finally Colombia’s time for peace and the challenges that may lie ahead in a post-conflict scenario.

 

The Association of Colombian Researchers in Switzerland, together with the Graduate Institute’s Center on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding and the Swiss Society of Americanists, are pleased to present the event “Colombia’s Time for Peace“.

This conference is based on the recent publication Colombia Hoy by the Swiss Society of Americanists. This edited Colombiahoyvolume analyses Colombia’s societal and political changes over the past 25 years and how these affect the society today. The panel will take a multi-disciplinary approach to understand Colombia’s experience with the on-going peace talks as its central point of reference.

News – Presentacion de libro sobre la Alianza Pacifico

El pasado 20 de Junio, se llevó a cabo en El Consulado General del Perú en Ginebra, la conferencia y presentación del libro  “El sentido de la Alianza del Pacífico; claves de su trascendencia y sus desafíos”, que fue ofrecida por el autor del mismo libro, Juan Fernando Palacio, miembro de ACIS.
