In spite of occasional setbacks, conflict has deescalated as the parties have come together since the current peace talks began in 2012. Observing the country\u2019s past, present, and future, the panellists will discuss whether it is finally Colombia\u2019s time for peace and the challenges that may lie ahead in a post-conflict scenario.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Association of Colombian Researchers in Switzerland, together with\u00a0the Graduate Institute\u2019s Center on Conflict, Development and Peacebuilding and the Swiss Society of Americanists,\u00a0are pleased to present the event &#8220;<em>Colombia&#8217;s Time for Peace<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>This conference is based on the recent publication <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acis.ch\/colombiahoyssa\/\" target=\"_blank\">Colombia Hoy<\/a> by the Swiss Society of Americanists. This edited <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acis.ch\/colombiahoyssa\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-296 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.acis.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Colombiahoy-180x300.png\" alt=\"Colombiahoy\" width=\"118\" height=\"197\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.acis.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Colombiahoy-180x300.png 180w, https:\/\/www.acis.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/Colombiahoy.png 359w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 118px) 100vw, 118px\" \/><\/a>volume analyses Colombia\u2019s societal and political changes over the past 25 years and how these affect the society today.
